Maj Gen Abul Hasnat new Bangladesh ambassador to Libya
The government has decided to appoint Major General Abul Hasnat Mohammad Khairul Bashar as the ambassador of Bangladesh to Libya.
This information was informed in a message on the Facebook page of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Tuesday (May 9).
Abul Hasnat joined the army in 1989 with commission rank. He served as GOC of 17 Infantry Division and Area Commander of Sylhet. He served Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) as Additional Director General and National Defense College (NDC) as Senior Directing Staff.
Abul Hasnat has also served in UN peacekeeping missions in Kuwait and Sudan.
General Hasnat holds Masters in Defense Studies, Security Studies and Security and Development Studies. He is the father of two children.
