13 dengue patients die; 2291 hospitalized in 24 hours
Eleven dengue patients died and 2,291 were hospitalized in the last 24 hours. With the latest death, a total of 569 people died of dengue to date this year, a Directorate General of Health Services press release said on Tuesday.
Currently, 8,218 people diagnosed with the mosquito-borne disease are taking treatment at different government and private hospitals in and outside the capital of Dhaka.
Of them, 3,838 are being treated at the facilities in the capital while 4,380 are in other divisions.
As many as 1,19,133 dengue patients were admitted to hospitals across the country since January 1 this year.
Some 1,10,346 out of the hospitalized patients, however, recovered during the period.
