Singer Brishti Dey
Chittagong's renowned Sanatani band Team Brishti is set to achieve a significant milestone by introducing Bangladesh's devotional music to an international audience. For the first time, the band will perform at a cultural program organized as part of the upcoming Durga Puja celebrations in the Indian state of Assam. The visit has generated great excitement among the band's members as well as its fans, as it is expected to further strengthen the cultural bond between Bangladesh and India.
Team Brishti has already established a strong reputation in Bangladesh through its performances at various religious and cultural events. The band is known for blending devotional songs with modern musical instruments, traditional melodies, and contemporary sound arrangements, creating a distinctive musical style. After gaining widespread popularity at home, the band is now preparing to present its music to audiences in India.

During the Durga Puja celebrations, Team Brishti will perform a diverse repertoire featuring modern devotional songs, Shyama Sangeet, patriotic compositions, and spiritually inspired music. The organizers believe the band's unique presentation will captivate audiences in Assam while adding a new dimension to the cultural exchange between the two neighboring countries.
The members of Team Brishti describe their first performance in India as a major achievement in their musical journey. In a statement, the band said:
"We are extremely happy and proud to have the opportunity to perform on an Indian stage for the first time. It is a special milestone for us. We want our music, culture, and message of love to reach people around the world. We will take the stage with the love and blessings of people from both sides of Bengal. We also dream of representing Bangladesh on even bigger stages at home and abroad in the future. The love and support of everyone continue to inspire us."
The band will perform with its full lineup, comprising Brishti Dey (vocals), Akash Dey (ukulele), Badsha (Bangla dhol), Amit Saha (drums and octapad), Suman Das (keyboard), Sujon Ghosh (flute), Tanmoy Dutta (bass guitar), and Joy Das (percussion).

According to music enthusiasts, Team Brishti has played an important role in making devotional music more appealing to younger audiences through its modern style of presentation. Their upcoming international performance is being viewed as an important achievement not only for the band but also for Bangladesh's Sanatani musical tradition.
Cultural observers believe that such international participation will further enrich artistic and cultural exchanges between Bangladesh and India. It will also create new opportunities to showcase Bangladesh's devotional and folk music to global audiences.
The band's performance at this year's Durga Puja celebration has already attracted considerable interest among music lovers and festival-goers. Team Brishti hopes that this tour will open new doors for promoting Bangladesh's Sanatani music and culture in India and across the world.
