Dengue d e a t h toll reaches 283, highest in history
Bangladesh has recorded the highest-ever death toll at 283, with 10 more deaths from dengue infection in the last 24 hours until Thursday morning.
In the last year, the country witnessed 281 dengue deaths. In addition, some 2589 more people with mosquito-borne disease were hospitalised in the last 24 hours, bringing the case tally to 59,716 this year.
The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) revealed this information on Thursday evening.
