17 people detained on suspicion of terrorism in Kulaura

Another 17 people have been arrested on suspicion of being militants in Kulaura of Moulvibazar. Chairman of Karmadha Union. Mahibul Islam Azad arrested them.
Chairman AK Azad confirmed this information on Monday morning.
He said that on Monday morning local people arrested them from Ashkarabad market of Union. Currently they are kept in Karmadha Union Parishad.
Police and Counter Terrorism Unit (CTTC) have been informed. They are coming to the scene. We suspect that the arrested are members of the militant organization Imam Mahmud Kafela,' he said.
Kulaura Police Station OC Abdus Salek said, 'I have got the truth of the incident. The CTTC team will actually hold a press briefing. Details will be given then.'
