Bandarban tour with my mother on Eid vacation
Mountains have always drawn me closer. Who does not like to see high low mountains and kilometer after kilometer of mountains? Clouds play in the sky. And that's why there is sun and shade on the hill. It looks different. I wandered all day to enjoy the beauty of the mountains. Bandarban to Chimbuk Hills, Titanic View, Double Hand View, Nilgiris, Golden Temple, Meghla Tourist Complex and Nilachal.
On Saturday, April 22, the day of Eid-ul-Fitr, we leave by bus from Dhaka's Syedabad Bus Terminal at 1:30 p.m. This tour is a total of 2 people including me and ma. In the afternoon we boarded a bus to Cox's Bazar as there was no direct bus to Bandarban. At 9:30 we reached Kerani's hut in Satkania upazila of Chittagong district. From there I left for Bandarban by CNG. It was a bit scary and nice to go through the hilly curved road at night.
We reached Bandarban city at 10.30 pm. There we had a room fixed at Hotel Garden City. As soon as we arrived, we were welcomed by the owner of the hotel. Then he showed the room. We had a single room with two beds. Wash room was also good. The hotel was also good. The room rent from us is only 1,000 rupees. The room had tissue box, two liter water bottle, shampoo, soap and everything needed. After reaching the room, I went to look for food in the hotel. I didn't get anything to eat that night. Dinner had to be finished with cake, biscuits, juice, water. Fixed Mahindra CNG for morning drive. Then I took a bath and slept peacefully.
Sunday, April 22, woke up at 6.30 in the morning and did not have a light breakfast. Then at 7 in the morning we left for Nilgiris by Mahindra CNG. On the way to the Nilgiris, we first reached the Chimbuk Hills. There, I paid 50 taka per person and entered inside. Chimbuk Hill is very beautifully decorated. From now all distant mountains can be seen. The view is really beautiful.
Then we reached the Titanic View. This place is very organized. Nature has poured its full beauty here. Here we had chips and tea and left for the next scene. Let me tell you, we reserved CNG for the whole day. In total, I paid 3 thousand 500 rupees for rent. From there we reach the double hand view. White clouds play in double hand view. It will blow your mind. You can spend some time there in nature.
We reached the Nilgiris around 9.30 in the morning after passing about 48 kilometers of hilly curves and ups and downs. 100 taka per person for tickets and another 100 taka for car parking. This Nilgiri is full of beauty right from the entrance. First you have to go up. On the right side of the mosque, there is a good arrangement of separate washrooms for men and women. Surrounded by trees.
All distant mountains can be seen from now. There are many resorts here. You can stay here for one night if you want. Further ahead you will see the helipad. Here we spend some time. There are many shops nearby. Pahari different dresses, dab, panka tetul, jackfruit, papaya and many more. Here we eat dub. Dub price was 100 rupees. Around 10:30 am we left again for Bandarban city.
From there we reached Bandarban city at 1 pm. Have lunch from Hotel Al Madina. Food was nothing much due to Eid holidays. Finish the lunch with chicken and vegetables.
Then I went out to see Meghla tourist center from there. We have to buy tickets for 50 rupees per person. As you enter, you will find a beautiful small prayer area on the right hand side. You have to go down the stairs or down the sloping road. You will find two hanging bridges here.
Passing the No. 1 Julant Bridge, we move to the other side. You can do several activities here. Like floating in a boat on a lake. You can also ride the cable car by paying a ticket of Tk 50 per person. There are separate rooms for women. There are also great facilities for resting and feeding the kids.
Here we board the cable car. The view from above made me feel like I was in a helicopter. From there we go to visit the Golden Temple. But unfortunately visitors are not allowed to enter here. It is a holy place for Buddhists. So others are not allowed to enter here. However, the Golden Temple is clearly visible from the bridge. Finally we leave for Nilachal.
We reached Nilachal around 4 pm. Had a good afternoon. There is a children's park for children. Inside there is catering for the visitors. The whole place is decorated very nicely. You never know when your time will fly by looking at the distant mountains in the afternoon breeze.
After eating raw mangoes from Nilachal, with chillies and salt, we reached Bandarban bus station straight from there. Saudia AC bus ticket cut. 1,200 per person had to be paid. We left at 9:30 PM and reached Dhaka at 4 AM.
This was our one day trip to Bandarban.
