Earthquake shakes capital
A mild earthquake jolted the capital Dhaka and its surrounding areas around 5:57am on Friday.
Farzana Sultana, an assistant meteorologist of Bangladesh Meteorology Department (BMD), told media that a magnitude 4.3 earthquake struck and its epicenter was Dohar, 42 km distance from the capital Dhaka’s City Center.
The United States Geological Survey (USGS) put the earthquake's strength at 4.3 on the Ritchter scale, adding it happened 14km south east of Dohar upazila. The USGS said the earthquake was 10km deep.
News of any causality has been found yet.
